Clifford E. Doerr/Irene Wiese Award of Appreciation

In September of 2007 the Indy USBC board of directors voted to combine the Clifford E. Doerr Meritorious Service Award (previously awarded by the GIBA) and the Irene Wiese Award of Appreciation (previously awarded by the IWBA) and rename the award as the Clifford E. Doerr/Irene Wiese Award of Appreciation.

This award is presented annually, when appropriate, to an individual (male or female) who has distinguished themselves for both long and faithful service to other bowlers or the sport of bowling.

Nominations can be made only by a member of the board of directors. And, the Executive Board Committee, comprised of the Indy USBC president, 1st vice president, 2nd vice president and sgt-at-arms, makes selection.
