Beginning in 1975, the GIBA board of directors voted to institute an aware for Meritorious Service. In 1992, the board named this aware the “Clifford E. Doerr Meritorious Service Award” to honor Mr. Doerr for his dedication and meritorious service to the game of bowling.
This award is given annually to individuals of our association who have distinguished themselves by their long and faithful service to their fellow bowlers and the game in general. It is given to recognize their contributions.
Any member of the association may submit the name of a person deemed worthy. A detailed resume should be included with the nomination and may be given to any member of the association.
Beginning in 2007, the Indy USBC Association voted to continue with this award.
